With the frequent occurrence of extreme weather events due to global warming and soaring energy prices, it is becoming increasingly important to promote decarbonization efforts from the region to avoid these two climate and energy crises. Yachiyo City has also declared itself a zero carbon city by 2050, and has formulated a global warming action plan by 2030 and a regional decarbonization roadmap by 2050, but concrete action plans and regional efforts are just beginning. Therefore, we would like to hold this Zero Carbon City Citizens' Conference as a forum for citizens and local businesses to collaborate and think about mechanisms and approaches to cooperate with the government, so that many citizens in Yachiyo City can think about their own efforts toward a Zero Carbon City to confront these two crises and realize such efforts in the city. We would like to realize such initiatives in the city. In this round-table discussion, we will think about concrete measures to realize a zero-carbon city in Yachiyo City in a lively manner. We look forward to the participation of many citizens.
